WA YPF and WA Chapter Joint Quiz Night – 20 July 2017

overall 700

More than 100 attendees enjoyed the joint APGA and YPF WA Chapter Quiz Night on 20 July, held at Maylands Peninsula Golf Course.

Fourteen teams competed for the illustrious first place trophy and, more importantly the bragging rights. Quizmaster Alex Aitken from KD1 kindly donated his expertise in running the show and did a fantastic job keeping everytables 700pxone in line. The night included a beer tasting challenge, thanks to the generosity of our friends at Gage Roads Brewing Co; 10 raffle prizes; and multiple table activity sheets providing a wide range of challenges from naming that 80s rock band with bad hair, to naming the world’s longest pipeline. The competition was extremely tight and, after all eight rounds and activity scores had been entered, there was a tie for first place between teams from Momentum Engineering and Enscope. After several failed tie-breaker attempts, the night’s champions were finally decided by resorting to an old fashioned ‘rock, paper, scissors’ sudden-death, with Enscope’s team ‘The Bevy of Swans’ the ultimate victors.

Thanks to all our supporters and especially major supporters Momentum Engineering and Rosen for supporting the event.
