Report shows reforms are working
The latest report from the ACCC details the positive impacts for gas pipeline customers of recent reforms, APGA Chief Executive Officer Steve Davies said today.
The ACCC issued today its seventh interim report entitled Gas Inquiry 2017-2020.
APGA welcomed the report which examined the effects of a series of major changes introduced following the ACCC’s 2015 East Coast Gas Inquiry.
“The interim report notes that Part 23 appears to be working as intended and there are signs that it is having a positive effect on pipeline prices and the contracting environment,” Mr Davies said.
“This aligns with the feedback we are getting from gas users.
“It is important to remember that we all want the same thing: a strong and vibrant gas industry that delivers low-cost gas to consumers across Australia.”
