MID WEST PIPELINE

Mid West Pipeline

The 353km Mid West Pipeline (MWP) and 11km Mt Magnet Pipeline (MMP) − sometimes known as the Mid West Lateral − are transmission pipelines that transport gas from the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline near Geraldton (Eradu Road) in mid-west Western Australia for power generation for mining and minerals processing at Windimurra, and power generation at Mt Magnet. The MWP was commissioned in 1999.

The MWP is operated and 50 per cent owned by APA Group (with the other 50 per cent owned by Horizon Power). The MWP and MMP are non-scheme pipelines under Part 23 of the NGR but have Category 3 exemptions. Both pipelines are therefore exempt from publishing service usage information, service availability information and financial information.
