Vic YPF/YEP Joint Technical Speaker Night
Victoria YPF in conjunction with YEP Young Energy Professionals from the Australian Institute of Energy invites you to attend a technial speaker night.
Presented by Mike Davis - Jemena Network Innovation, ManagerBringing Australia’s largest power to hydrogen project to life
Jemena's Power to Gas Trial in western Sydney will use a 500kW electrolyser to convert solar and wind power into hydrogen gas which will then be stored for use across the Jemena Gas Network in New South Wales; Australia’s biggest gas distribution network. The trial will also explore how hydrogen can be used to power Australians who are on the move, with a hydrogen refuelling station being developed to support the burgeoning hydrogen-vehicle industry.
Mike Davis is Jemena’s Network Innovation Manager, responsible for developing and delivering the long-term decarbonisation strategy for Jemena’s gas distribution network. This includes the development of a power to gas project to inject “green” hydrogen into the gas distribution network as well as the assessment of biomethane opportunities for network injection. Mike has more than 15 years of energy infrastructure experience developed across renewable energy, fired power generation and gas transmission, distribution and underground storage.
Whether you are a regular attendee to YPF events or new to the industry, this will be a fantastic opportunity to attend great technical evening and network with other YPF and YEP members. If you know someone in the industry who has not been to one of our events before, please have them sign up to YPF VIC Mailing List
There will be limited spaces available so get in quick. We look forward to seeing you there!
