Pipeline Creativity – it's not all about the fancy dress
Whether it’s by stepping around the potholes or by falling into them, every project presents us with the opportunity to learn lessons. GPA Engineering Director Tony Williams says while innovation, motivation, commitment and execution excellence are required qualities of the pipeline industry, taking on challenges and seizing the opportunities they present to improve our navigation skills can impart the foresight and risk assessment essential to success. In his presentation, Tony will share some of his experiences on projects from control room emergency planning on the Port Bonython Pipeline, the benefits of ducking when required – learned on the Angaston Pipeline – and the art of the back of the envelope. And, of course, the key role good humour plays in getting through it all.
