NT YPF Fishing Charter, 20 July
Following the success of the inaugural NT YPF Fishing Charter in 2021, we’re returning to the water for the 2022 NT YPF Fishing Charter and welcome attendees of the APGA Darwin Dinner to join us.
This event will be held on Wednesday 20 July, from 12.00pm at the Cullen Bay Ferry terminal which is a five-minute taxi ride from Darwin CBD.
Come join fellow pipeliners as we fish the great harbour in Darwin, home to the Larrakia Saltwater People, and wonderful assets such as Channel Island Power Station, Santos’ Darwin LNG, and Inpex’s Ichthys LNG.
We’ll fish the Darwin Harbour for snapper, coral trout, and jewfish for the afternoon, with the crew at Arafura Blue Water guiding the tour, before returning to Cullen Bay Ferry terminal at 5.00pm.
APGA is planning a number of sequential events: the YPF fishing Charter on Wednesday 20 July, and the YPF pre-dinner drinks and APGA Darwin dinner on Thursday 21 July. This will be followed by the Darwin Show local public holiday on the Friday 22 July.
Take the opportunity for a trip to the north, enjoy the great fishing, meet the great people, and close it out with a long weekend seeing all the northern capital has on offer.
Fishing Charter attendees should bring a water bottle, hat and sunscreen, and wear light, cool, comfortable clothing, including sandals and thongs. While the staff at Arafura Blue Water don’t go out of their way to drench you, you may possibly get wet.
Arafura will provide meals, ice water, all fishing rods and reels, fishing tackle, bait and iced eskies. The team at the NT YPF will provide drinks and attendees can also bring their own, but no glass please.
Numbers are limited so register your interest now.
This is a FREE event, open to all APGA members, so if you know someone in the industry who has not been to one of our events before, please have them sign up to our mailing list.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Advice to attendees on COVID requirements
Please note: COVID prevention requirements vary across our States and Territories and they can change frequently and with little notice. To be admitted to venues where APGA events are held, you may be required to meet a range of obligations that vary from those in your home jurisdiction. For example, you may need to show proof of vaccination, to carry or wear a face mask, to observe social distancing and to use the check-in app relevant to the State or Territory where the event is being held. Some travel restrictions may also apply.
APGA advises attendees to check the official State or Territory requirements that apply to the individual APGA event they are attending in advance of booking so that they can ensure they are prepared. It’s also a good idea to recheck requirements on the day of the event in case anything has changed.
APGA Event Code of Conduct
APGA has a code of conduct for events to be observed by all attendees at our events. Please read it.
