Those involved in the manufacture and construction of pipelines rarely have an opportunity to show their skills to the public. Their work is either buried or drowned, never to be seen again.
However, APGA member Inductabend has been involved in some highly visible projects that have created an enduring public display of the ingenuity and creativity that can often be required to solve the complex problems confronting pipeliners.
At the Melbourne Dinner on 7 September, Inductabend General Manager John Rea will give a presentation including some unusual projects the company has been involved with that are pushing the boundaries of design and manufacture.
These innovative designs have presented challenges including constructing bends in three dimensions using equipment designed for making one dimensional bends. John will also present some technical data on the bending processes used and discuss some of the constructional issues.
