Leigh Creek Energy is a step closer to delivering a major new energy source into the east coast gas network.
The company’s flagship project will extract coal unable to be accessed by the open cut method used at the mine at the site and turn it into methane using in situ gasification. Leigh Creek Energy has recently completed capital raising and is now about to move on to the construction of the pre-commercial demonstration plant. The construction and operation of the pre-commercial demonstration facility is a major de-risking event for Leigh Creek Energy and a significant step forward in its plans to commercialise its Leigh Creek Energy project in South Australia. At the Adelaide Dinner in August, Andrew will give a presentation on how Leigh Creek Energy is planning to operate the pre-commercial demonstration plant and make demonstration gas by the end of 2017.
